Painting Vans Pink in the Fight Against Breast Cancer

September 27, 2016

Two Service Experts centers are making a statement this October with pink vans. Fras-Air/General Service Experts and Service Experts Heating and Air Conditioning of Raleigh are both going to paint two of their company vans pink for the fight to end breast cancer.

For the month of October, Fras-Air/General Service Experts will be contributing 20% of all sales from their pink vans to Summit-based Susan G. Komen chapter to help raise money to help end breast cancer. Service Experts of Raleigh will be contributing 5% of all sales from their pink vans and also donate $10 for every Precision tune-up to their local chapter, Susan G. Komen North Carolina Triangle to the Coast.

This is the second time Fras-Air/General Service Experts has painted multiple vans pink to raise money for Susan G. Komen. In 2015, Fras-Air raised over $7,000 for Komen North Jersey. David Schneider, General Manager of Fras-Air, and one of his workers both lost their mothers to different forms of cancer and were moved to help other families.

“The National Cancer Institute said that 107,184 women in New Jersey suffered from breast cancer in 2016,” Schneider stated. “While the amount of cases is actually going down each year, that still represents a huge number of families who are struggling with this disease, and therefore we have a serious need for research and support.”

The General Manager of Service Experts of Raleigh, Chris Overton, echoed Schneider’s sentiments. “As stated by the North Carolina State Center for Health Statistics, breast cancer is the number one type of cancer in North Carolina – for both females and males.”
