We all have passions that we develop over time. Maybe for you it’s a love of landscaping, for others possibly it’s a sport, or if you’re anything like us, it’s heating and cooling. Just like we love working to keep you cozy throughout the year, we also love helping others go after their passions to become experts.
Recently, we completed our “Experts Creating Experts” contest in which we gave away $25,000 to gain expertise and education in one area you are most passionate about. Submissions ranged from lifelong dreams of becoming a chef to writing a line of children’s books to inspire wonderment. The Grand Prize winners, Mike and Jillian, entered to become expert foragers, gathering wild plants and foods from nature. After being one of five finalists picked from a number of judges, the public voted through Facebook and now, Mike and Jillian are headed out all around New York and Massachusetts to learn with artisan farmers, a dairy farm and even a distillery.

We realize that heating and cooling may not be everyone’s passion, but it is definitely a passion of ours to give back to communities like East Syracuse. After all, you have helped make us the heating and cooling experts in this neck of the woods. And for that, we thank you.
Mike and Jillian won $25,000 in Service Experts Heating & Air Conditioning’s Experts Creating Experts Contest so they could become expert foragers. Foragers gather wild plants and foods from nature.
This fall, they’ll leave for the first part of their trip. Mike & Jillian will be driving around New York and Massachusetts meeting small artisan farmers, checking out the High Lawn Farms Dairy, working at the first legal distillery in the Berkshires since Prohibition and learning about extracts from a company in business for 125 years. They’ll even forage for mushrooms. And we’ll be with them, sharing their adventures with you every step of the way.
In January 2016, we’ll head out to California for the other part of their adventure.
